Gwen’s anatomy training is hands-down the best. What makes it unique is that playfulness and movement are part of the curriculum. Gwen has a deep understanding of yoga and anatomy, and her enthusiasm for the topic is contagious. Because the class is interactive, students have a somatic experience of the muscles and actions they are studying, so they truly understand them in relationship to yoga asana in a way they don’t in other trainings. It’s very important to me that teachers in my trainings are safe and deeply understand movement, the nervous system, and the human body. I highly recommend Gwen’s class. It is a premium quality anatomy module for 200-hour teacher training.

Embodied Anatomy, Physiology and Movement for Yoga Teachers

Created by Gwen Yeager, C-IAYT, E-RYT 500, YACEP

This training includes carefully curated movement that enables students to form deep connections between anatomy and the practice of yoga. Including movement into the curriculum makes the process of learning anatomy fun and personal. Gwen’s relaxed approach engages students who are intimidated or who do not have an innate interest in the topic.

We’ll also cover Tensegrity and Fascia Lines.

Yoga Alliance requires that a minimum of five hours be spent applying anatomy and physiology principles to the practice of yoga. Embodied Anatomy, Physiology and Movement for Yoga Teachers has been designed to give students a unique opportunity to apply and practice new skills. New yoga teachers leave their first training with over five hours of practical application so they can teach with intelligence, confidence, inspiration, and safety.
